Es gibt aber auch eine einfache Hilfe. Unter: http://www.geocities.com/mbockelkamp gibt es ein Windows Programm "wbios10.ZIp" und ein Dos Programm "bios1351.zip" (die Zahlen sind Versionsangaben Ende 2000, die geändert sein können") Beide Programme brauchen nicht installiert werden, sie können durch anklicken der in der ZIP-Date enthaltene WBios.exe bzw. Bios.exe ausgeführt werden.
Die Windows Version zeigt Bios-Informationen und das gespeicherte Passwort an. Die nach Rechner Start mit einer DOS Bootdiskette auszuführende BIOS.EXE kann folgendes:
- Saving and restoring the BIOS settings ( Die Bios-Daten speichern und zurück wiederherstellen)
- Validating actual settings to saved settings (Die aktuellen Daten mit den gespeicherten vergleichen)
- Deleting the BIOS settings (there are some strange cases...) (Die Bios-Daten löschen)
- Displaying information about the BIOS, BIOS Extensions and BIOS beepcodes (Bios Informationen zeigen)
- Finding BIOS passwords for Award, Ami, Phoenix and AST BIOS (Das Bios Passwort zeigen)
- Finding BIOS universal passwords for Award BIOS (Das universale Passwort des Award Bios zeigen)
- Dumping the whole BIOS segment to disk (Das Bios auf einer Diskette speichern)
