Exit Without Saving.
Damit können Sie das Setup verlassen, ohne, dass irgendetwas gespeichert wird.. Wenn Sie sich nur das Setup ansehen wollen oder nicht sicher sind ob sie etwas falsch verstellt haben, so sollten Sie stets diesen Ausgang verwenden.
Save and Exit Setup, CMOSS Save & Exit
Damit werden alle Setup Werte im CMOS-RAM gespeichert und der Rechner bootet mit den neuen Werten von vorne.
Achtung: Im Setup ist die amerikanische Tastaturbelegung gültig. Dabei sind die Tasten Y und Z vertauscht. Die Bestätigung mit Yes =Y erfordert daher das Drücken der Taste Z. Selbst verständlich stehen auch keine deutschen Umlaute zur Verfügung und die Belegung der Umlaut- und Zeichentasten ist geändert.
Security Option / Password [Check] [System]
Grundeinstellung bei eingegebenem Passwort: "Setup" Es sind keine Boot Einschränkungen, aber der Zugriff zum Setup erfordert das Passwort. Die Option: "System" erfordert das Passwort zum booten und zum Zugriff auf das Setup. Das Default Passwort für das AMI-Bios ist "AMI"
Shadow Controlls:
Eine nicht angezeigte Einstellung kopiert automatisch das System Bios in den Speicher um die Systemleitung zu verbessern.
Swap Floppy Drive / Flopy Drive Swap
"Disabled" ist eingestellt. Wenn "Enabled" eingestellt, werden die Disketten Laufwerke unter DOS gewechselt. A: wird B: und B: wird A:
Video BIOS Shaddow
Grundeinstellung ist "Enabled" damit wird das Bios der Grafikkarte ebenfalls in den Speicher (C000-C7FFF) kopiert.
C800-CFFF Shadow bis D800-DFFF Shadow (10 Felder)
Grundeinstellung ist "Disabled". Mit "Enabled" eines oder mehrerer Felder , können Sie das Bios andere Karten, deren ROM-Adressen Sie kennen, ebenfalls in den Speicher zwischen 640KB und 1024 KB kopieren lassen.
Virus Protection [Warning]Anti Virus
Diese Einstellung ist "Disabled". Wenn eingeschaltet, werden Bootsektor und Partitionstafel geprüft und es wird eine Warnmeldung angezeigt, falls diese verändert werden sollen. Dies kann dann erlaubt oder das System kann gestoppt werden. Nützlich, stört aber bei System mit Bootmanager. Es muss jedoch bei System-Update oder Installation unbedingt abgeschaltet werden.

Zusätzliche Tools befinden Sich auf der CD-ROM im Verzeichnis Support/Tools mit einer Readme.htm (engl.) und Setup.exe. Die meisten der Tools werden auch installiert, wenn man aus dem Setup-Menü "Optionale Windows Komponenten installieren " wählt.
Im Verzeichnis VALUADD befinden sich weitere nicht installierte Dateien. Erklärung in Valuadd.htm und in den Readme-Dateien in den einzelnen Unterverzeichnisse, die jedoch teilweise englisch sind.
