Eine Überlegung zur generellen System-Organisation im Hinblick auf die Sicherung.
Obwohl dies nur mit Einschränkungen gilt gehe ich davon aus, dass das Betriebsystem und alle Programme bei einem Systemzusammenbuch neu installiert werden können. Über Einschränkungen dabei spreche ich später. Unersetzbar sind jedoch alle Dateien, die ich selbsterstellt habe. Dabei ist egal ob ich mit Word schreibe, mit Paintshop male, Fotos und Filme bearbeite, Flowcharts zeichne, eine E-Mail Korrespondenz führe, programmiere oder Internet-Seiten erstelle.
Ich habe daher bei mir folgendes eingerichtet. Alle "Eigenen Dateien" befindenden sich auf der Festplatte oder Partition E: Alle Kommunikationsprogramme auf Festplatte oder Partition F:. Bei der Installation von Programmen achte ich darauf, dass sie an richtiger Stelle gespeichert werden und dass sie so eingerichtet werden, dass sie ihre Daten auf E: speichern.
Auf E: befinden sich auch die Verzeichnisse INFORMATIONEN und NEUE PROGRAMME. In INFORMATIONEN speichere ich alle für mich wichtige Informationen aus dem Internet und allen anderen Quellen. In NEUE PROGRAMME speichere ich alle UPDATE und Programme die ich aus dem Internet erhalte und installiere. Nicht jedoch Programme, die ich auf CD-ROM oder Diskette besitze.
